The Presidency will no longer respond to Amidu – Arhin

The Director of Communications at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin, indicated that the Presidency will no longer respond to former Special Prosecutor Martin Amidu

According to him, aside from the response issued, no other response would be issued again.

The response from the presidency has described the claims raised by Mr. Amidu as baseless and false.

The response also refuted the issue of the political interference from the president in the Agyapa deal saying Mr. Amidu was allowed to work independently.

The Director of Communications at the Presidency, in a Facebook post, stressed that “the statement put out by the Secretary to the President, Nana Bediatuo Asante, which was addressed to the former Special Prosecutor, Mr. Martin Amidu, will be the ONLY statement from the Presidency on this matter.”
