The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has stated that it has won 140 seats out of the 275 seats in parliament.
A party that wants to form the majority in parliament is expected to win 138 of the seats.
Addressing the press on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, Director of Elections for the NDC, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah said from the results they have gathered, former President John Dramani Mahama has won the 2020 presidential elections.
He alleges that the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has realized they have lost hence are engaging in machinations to change the results.
He said the NDC will not sit unconcerned and allow the NPP to steal the elections.
Mr. Ankrah added that the NPP cannot claim to have won the presidential polls when they have not won the majority of seats.
