NDC Women Demonstrate Over Declaration Of Nana Addo As President-Elect

The Women’s Wing of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has today, Saturday, December 12, 2020, held a demonstration to reaffirm its rejection of the presidential election results.

The demonstration was led by National Women’s Organiser, Madam Hanna Louisa Bisiw.

They argue that the declaration by the EC was flawed.

She asked the EC to do the right thing by rescinding the declaration by Mrs. Jean Mensa.

She said the figures, based on which Akufo-Addo was declared the president-elect, were inaccurate.

According to her, the NDC wants peace hence the EC should not plunge the country into chaos.

She noted that women are those who suffer the most during conflicts and urged the Commission to churn out the correct figures to declare the NDC winner of the 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
