The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has invited the Member of Parliament for Tamale Central Inusah Fuseini for questioning for asking former President John Dramani Mahama to form a parallel government and declare himself president.
The invitation was sent to the Speaker of Parliament Prof. Aaron Mike Oquaye asking him to release the MP for questioning.
He is expected to report to the CID headquarters tomorrow (Thursday, December 24, 2020).
The Speaker has since released the MP asking him to report to the CID.
The Speaker in his letter to the MP stated that having regard to the limitations of articles 117 and 118 of the 1992 Constitution, and the fact that the house has been adjourned sine die, the MP must make himself available for questioning.
