The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Western Regional Deputy Organizer George Dadzie Junior has indicated that no form of intimidation will stop their protests over what they have described as a flawed election.
The NDC officer speaking on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm alleged that votes were padded and manipulated in favour of the incumbent government.
He claims that the government used the military to rig the elections in the region.
He specifically mentioned Essikado-Ketan and Tarkwa Essuaem as some of the constituencies where the manipulations went on.
Dadzie Junior went on to state that Ghana’s democracy has been badly bastardized under President Akufo-Addo.
He said the security personnel was used to intimidate people, prevent them from demanding for the lawful thing to be done at the various collation centres.
He said the situation has provoked people with tensions rising.
The demonstrations he revealed will continue until the Electoral Commission declare the true reflection of the results.
He noted the EC has failed to preside over a credible process in selecting our leaders.
He also challenged civil society groups to admonish the EC to do the right thing.
He warned the NDC will continue to hold protests and demand from the EC to declare the true results or they will not allow them to have peace.
